Dock Operations Specialist
Job Summary of Dock Operations Specialist:
You will be responsible for assisting with warehouse tasks like picking orders, packing products, assembling items, sorting inventory, shipping items, and receiving deliveries. This role is critical in achieving the productivity and quality targets of the facility while maintaining efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Dock Operations Specialist:
- Assess production timelines, client orders, job directives, shipping schedules, or material requisitions to identify the items scheduled for transportation or collection.
- Carry materials and items from incoming or production sectors to assigned storage positions.
- Classify and group products by SKU, quantity, and product classification.
- Employ the use of an electric pallet jack and a stand-up forklift for the relocation of items when necessary.
- Utilize a safety harness when ascending up to 25 feet on a cherry picker.
- Maintain open lines of communication with receivers, drivers, and forklift operators for seamless coordination.
- Observe safety precautions for truck and trailer hauling procedures.
- Arrange and position goods in specified warehouse locations.
- Be in charge of company-issued equipment, which includes PPE and voice communication tools.
- Identify and report any safety threats in the workplace.
- Ensure you wear the company-issued uniform as instructed for your work duties.
- Compile clients’ orders using available stock and organize for shipment.
- Mark the pallets with relevant details and open containers where required for labeling purposes.
Qualifications and Experience of Dock Operations Specialist:
- - Eligibility for the role requires either a high school diploma, GED, or a brief period of relevant experience or training.
- Ability to operate both an electric pallet jack and vertical forklift.
- Able to ascend 25 feet high on a cherry picker, ensuring safety by wearing a harness.
- Proficient in conveying messages and working together cohesively.
- Proficiency in handling the demands of a fast-paced and physically laborious setting.

Salary:
- The rate of payment for every hour worked is $21.00
