Job Summary of Customer Service Associate:
This position centers on providing a friendly and effective customer service encounter within a dynamic retail setting. Duties consist of managing the cash register, replenishing merchandise, upholding sanitation standards, and aiding in different store functions. The employee will receive instruction in several departments, aiding the store staff and guaranteeing the establishment is consistently operational and prepared for customers.
Responsibilities and tasks in the role:
- Extend a friendly reception to visitors and deliver outstanding client assistance.
- Operate the cash register efficiently and precisely with a welcoming attitude.
- Arrange products on shelves, in coolers, and freezers to ensure they are readily available to customers and maintain inventory levels.
- Follow food safety guidelines when making coffee and other items.
- Uphold cleanliness in all sections of the store, such as the sales areas, dining spaces, and washrooms.
- Embrace and thrive in a dynamic work setting, offering assistance to colleagues when required.
- Support with duties delegated by management at the store and participate in fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Supporting operations may require working at various nearby sites as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience of Customer Service Associate:
- No specific educational prerequisites; preference given to candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail, food service, or guest service for a period of 3 to 6 months is desirable.
- Obtaining a ServSafe or food safety certification is considered advantageous, although it is not mandatory.
- Skilled at engaging with patrons and colleagues in a front-facing customer environment.
- Possessing energy and a willingness to adapt, along with a collaborative nature, and some computer proficiency are advantageous qualities.
