Job Summary of Distribution Center Associate:
Your responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the facility. This role is fundamental in ensuring effective inventory management and order processing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Center Associate:
- Analyze manufacturing timetables, client demands, or delivery schedules to establish material needs.
- Convey materials from receiving areas or production sites to assigned storage locations.
- Structure and sort items onto racks, shelves, or containers based on their size, type, or code for easy access and retrieval.
- Utilize refrigeration units to store perishable goods as needed.
- Assemble and package customer orders for shipment.
- Put unique labels on materials and ensure records are kept up-to-date.
- Uncover bales, crates, and containers to aid in inventory processing activities.
- Count or measure products for allocation in accordance with company guidelines.
- Offer assistance in navigating through the billing and paperwork requirements.
Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Center Associate:
- Preferably, applicants should have a high school diploma or GED.
- To qualify for this position, candidates must have between one to three months of related experience, training, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
- Exhibits strong skills in managing time and organizing tasks efficiently.
