Job Summary of Pruner:

You provides day-to-day tree care for the Resort urban forest, under the direction of an Arboricultural Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining the trees and aesthetics of the Resort while ensuring safety and comfort for both our Guests and Cast Members. This role requires attention to detail, a passion for arboriculture, and a commitment to preserving the beauty of Disneyland’s landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pruner:

• Perform daily tree care tasks such as pruning, trimming, and maintaining the health of the Resort’s urban forest.
• Ensure trees are maintained in accordance with the appropriate theme for the specific area of the property.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect Guests and Cast Members while working on tree care.
• Utilize proper tools and techniques to maintain trees, including climbing and working with ropes as necessary.
• Inspect trees for any signs of disease, pests, or structural damage and take appropriate action to maintain their health.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the beauty and safety of the Resort’s landscaping.
• Follow all environmental and safety regulations when working with tree care tools and machinery.

Qualifications and Experience of Pruner:

• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.
• Must have experience performing the duties and actions listed under Responsibilities above.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
• Must possess a Western Chapter Certified Tree Worker (WC-CTW) certification or have the ability to obtain this certification.
• Knowledge of tree species, tree care practices, and proper pruning techniques is essential.
• Experience with tree climbing, pruning, and tree inspection is a key requirement for this role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in all aspects of work.

Salary:

The pay rate for this role $29.12 to $35.47 per hour. The base pay may vary depending on geographic region, job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
