Job Summary of Maintenance Porter:

As the person in charge of cleanliness in the warehouse and office environments, you play a vital role in ensuring that these areas are well-kempt and suitable for daily operations. This position requires meticulousness and the ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, as well as to address any minor maintenance tasks that may arise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Porter:

• Make sure the floors remain clean by regularly engaging in sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Collect and dispose of waste, organizing it for the weekly garbage removal.
• Regularly maintain the cleanliness and service of restrooms.
• Regularly scrub walls, shelves, and equipment to maintain a tidy atmosphere.
• Combine water, detergents, or acids as instructed to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Utilize commercial cleaning tools and equipment to restore the indoor spaces of structures.
• Utilize solvents, brushes, cleaning cloths, and power equipment to effectively clean varied surfaces.
• Ensure that floors and fixtures remain undamaged by following the proper cleaning and safety procedures.
• Protect the building by securely locking all doors after business hours.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, including using hand trucks.
• Inform management immediately of any major maintenance tasks or system issues that demand their attention.
• Clear pathways, driveways, and parking spots by utilizing snow blowers or shovels to eliminate snow buildup.
• Coordinate the placement, organization, and disassembly of decorations, furniture, and equipment at events.
• Operating a Rider Jack necessitates prior familiarity or the ability to acquire certification.

Qualifications and Experience of Maintenance Porter:

• - Candidates are required to have either a high school diploma or GED, or to have undergone 1-3 months of relevant training and experience, or an equivalent blend of academic and practical skills.
